First of all, are you always nice to people? Do you know? If you know that you are one of the nicest person there is you will not need to see the message printed below.
I am going to start by, why should you be nice to people?
Like one of the famous saying "treat others as you would like to be treated." I am here to say that you should be that person because the saying automatically tells you to not to be mean to people. Being mean means having to hurt someones feelings to hide your true emotions. When you do that it makes you seem like a bad person and that you have no respect for anyone (not really anyone).
When you are nice you feel much better than when you are mean. You might even get an award but that's not the reason that you should do it.
So, these are the reasons that you should treat others equally instead of making them feel bad.
Now you have the choice. To be mean or nice.
